The nice review of “Contemporary Music × Noh” Vol.9 appeared on the ongaku no tomo, music magazine March 2022 issue!
As a Noh singer, Ryoko Aoki is exploring a new territory under a new tag with contemporary music. In the “Contemporary Music × Noh” Vol.9, she premiered three very wonderful new works with a cellist Ayano Uemura. (…) The playful world and the mysterious sound of the cello, where microtonal music overlaps, and Aoki’s chanting and dance are skillfully linked to reveal a new ability. It is a magnificent masterpiece that shines with Inamori’s unique technical capabilities, and I hope that they will play again. (Seiko Ito)
