Noh singer, Ryoko Aoki Concert Series “Contemporary Music x Noh” 10th Anniversary Concert

We organized the Noh singer, Ryoko Aoki Concert Series “Contemporary Music x Noh” 10th anniversary concert on 30 November 2023 (Thursday) at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Recital Hall. The “Contemporary Music x Noh” concert series presents new contemporary music pieces composed for Noh chanting, and since its launch in 2010, we have commissioned 40 composers from 19 countries. In addition to the world premiere, this concert was held with selections from the repertoire of pieces for Noh voice to date, to celebrate the 10th anniversary. Aoki played with young string players representing Japan, such as violinists, Tatsuki Narita and Ryosuke Suho, a violist, Kei Tojo on viola and a cellist, Ayano Uemura.
