2024.3.6-7 Recording : Het Residentie Orkest conducted by Jun Märkl

I came to The Hague from Paris.

We had the wonderful recording sessions of Toshio Hosokawa’s opera “Futari Shizuka – The Maiden from the Sea” with the Het Residentie Orkest conducted by Jun Märkl.

Amare was built about two and a half years ago and is home of Het Residentie Orkest, NDT (Netherlands Dance Theatre) and the Hague Royal Conservatoire. The level of culture is high and overwhelming.

A beautiful acoustic Amare Concert Hall and a wonderful orchestra. It was a time when I felt how lucky and happy it is to perform with people who really love music.
With soprano, Ilse Eerens as a role of Helen, Sven Arne Tepl, director of Het Residentie Orkest, and conductor, Jun Märkl.

With composer, Toshio Hosokawa.

The day before our recording, they had a recording session of Toshio Hosokawa flute concerto “Ceremony” with flutist, Mario Caroli.

We were also able to enjoy Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring” and other masterpieces at the Mauritshuis Museum. The Hague is a wonderful city. I would love to come back!

The CD will be released next year. Please look forward to it!
