On 17 January, I had a concert with cellist Ayano Kamimura at the Minato City Center for Traditional Culture.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who applied; we received far more applications than the venue’s capacity, and it was a true honor to perform before those selected by the lottery.

The venue, Minato City Center for Traditional Culture, is a historically significant public facility—the only surviving wooden Kenban (a geisha rehearsal hall and office, built 80 years ago) in Tokyo. This building holds a very special meaning for me, as it was redesigned and revitalized by my father, the architect Shigeru Aoki, through his Refining Architecture method. It was a profound privilege to welcome you all into this extraordinary space crafted by my father.

With my parents.
This performance also marks a milestone in my duo collaboration with Ayano Kamimura, which has continued since last month. It has been an inspiring journey, and I look forward to the day we can perform together again!
Thank you once again to everyone who joined us.
