2023.9.24, 28 The Amplified Elephants in Yokohama and Kyoto
The Amplified Elephants, a music group of artists with intellectual disabilities led by contemporary music composer and pianist James Hullick from Melbourne, Australia, came to Japan and performed in Yokohama on 24 September and Kyoto on 28 September. This is a joint event with RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, Ritsumeikan University and Jolt Art, an arts support organisation for people with disabilities. Firstly, I performed with them together online in March 2021 during the pandemic. And then I travelled to Melbourne in July 2022 for filming, and a stage performance “HAGOROMO” with my 3D avatar was held in October. This time was finally the first time we performed together in real life.
