2024.8.29 INTO THE BRIGHT – KYOTO

On 29 August, I made a surprise appearance for a talk and performance at an event called INTO THE BRIGHT – KYOTO, a project of the Japan Tourism Agency to invite VIPs from overseas to Japan. It was my first visit to the venue, the Museum of Kyoto, and it was a wonderful place. The theme of the event was “Japanese Tolerance,” and I performed “Maumonozukushi Ni-shu” by Yasutakii Inamori with cellist Seiko Takemoto. I am glad the audience enjoyed it.

Many of them were Spanish entrepreneurs, so I was happy that they were interested in me, who has many activities in Spain. I will sing with the Orchestra of València next year! Some of them even said, “I’ll be there next year!”
On the 28th, the day before the event INTO THE BRIGHT – KYOTO, I attended a welcome reception at the Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto. After the museum closed, we enjoyed a special night tour of the “Takashi Murakami: Mononoke Kyoto” exhibition.
