second CD recording
From 26 to 28 April, I made recordings for my second CD with Eric-Maria Couturier, the great cellist from Ensemble Intercontemporain. We made recordings at the studios separately in Tokyo and Paris by using YAMAHA Syncroom for timing, and then, the sound engineer in Japan will edit them. It is the new normal way of making CD, which is a great idea for Covid-19 time.
エリック＝マリアとは10年ほど前から面識はありましたが、初共演は2017年に細川俊夫《二人静ー海から来た少女ー》をアンテルコンタンポランと演奏した時でした。2019年にジョナサン・ノット指揮東京交響楽団によるヤン・ロビン《クォーク》のソリストとして来日。その時の凄まじい演奏に圧倒されて、いつか一緒に演奏してみたいと思っていました。
I am very happy that we completed it, despite the difficult situation both in Paris and Tokyo. This time I focus on duo pieces with cello, which include wonderful pieces by Zuriñe F Gerenabarrena, Jānis Petraškevičs, Thomas Wally, Annachiara Gedda and Jamie Man. I really appreciate ALM records and Alexandre Chaigne from MUSIC UNIT and of course, wonderful Eric-Maria Couturier!
Ensemble Intercontemporain will come to Japan this August and I will play with them. We will start selling the CD this time. I cannot wait!
