In 2007, a Noh performer, Ryoko Aoki, performed Joji Yuasa's "Snow Falling Down" (1972) 35 years after it was first premiered. It inspired many young composers and musicians and it led to a number of innovative collaborations with her. From 2010, ensemble-no, which was founded by Ryoko Aoki, has organised "Noh×Contemporary Music - talk & concert series" to commission international composers to write new pieces for Noh voice. So far, she has premiered 15 pieces in this series. This concert project will be developed on previous three years series. Ryoko Aoki will perform her repertoire from "Noh×Contemporary Music" 2010-2012 in one night concert. This time, ensemble-no will commission a Japanese young composer, Noriko Koide. Ryoko Aoki is active with concerts activities in Europe, but this will be her first time to have a recital in Japan.
